Oracle 11g:Installation of Redhat linux version 6 on Oracle VM for Oracle 11g RAC 




Dear User,

 We are now configuring Oracle VM For REDHAT Linux-06 for installation of Oracle 11g Grid Infrastructure for Oracle 11g RAC.

 Follow step without making any changes.
 

 Click option 1st.
 
Choose Skip.

  
Select Language

 Choose Option 1

  
Choose Re-Initialize all.
 
Provide Hostname with domain name.

  
TImezone Asia/Kolkata.

  
provide root password.Here we gave root@123
 
Choose installation type for disk space .  

  
 Choose Write changes to disk.
 

 Choose appropriate option as per your requirements.

  





 






















use ==



Use this option if you are not creating user.

disable kdump.

disable firewall.

Change the display settings.reboot the machine.
Now ready to work for Oracle RAC.

SMS Alert logs ORA- errors This is something new in database administration part.Suppose DBA was out of office and got call from company manager to come to office.There is some problem in database.Generally DBA connect database and check connection possible or not then check any alert log entry.It is better if DBA and their company people got messages whenever any ORA- errors came in certain period of time.
